The Summer is about to heat up and Grill Glove wants to remind you that means grilling season is in full swing. The time between Memorial Day and the July 4th Weekend, represent the absolute hottest time of the year for outdoor cooking. It’s a time for swimming, relaxing and spending time with the family. Something about summertime just seems to slow down the pace and make the living easy.

The Grill Glove is something that goes right along with the joy of summer living because it really does make grilling easier. The Grill Glove is not your average Oven Mitt. It is made of 100% food grade silicone and is heat resistant up to 500 degrees. This means that not only is it completely safe to interact with your food, you won’t get burned in the process. Think about all the grilling utensils you WON’T need anymore because of the Grill Glove.

One of the most laborious things about grilling is trying to master the tongs. Tongs have to be one of the clumsiest tools ever invented but they are necessary if you want to both place, and manage your food. We’ve all had the experience of dropping our perfectly grilled steaks on the ground or losing our hot dogs through the grates. So the advent of the grill glove which actually allows you to handle your food with the dexterity of your hand itself is what makes this the must have product of the summer.

Forget about the fact that the grill glove is easier to take on the go than a drawer full of utensils, or that it is waterproof and cleans with ease. Focus on the idea that grilling can be fun again and a heck of lot less work with the grill glove. When football season rolls around, expect to see the very best tailgaters using the grill glove while showing off their mastery of the grill.

Basting, Flipping, Placing, Turning and Removing food from a burning hot Grill will never be the same, and SHOULD never be a problem again. While reaching your hand into a burning grill to adjust the coals, or plunging your hand into a pot of boiling water to grab your lobster has never been an easy task, it is no longer problematic because of the Grill Glove’s unique construct and heat resistant technology. So it’s time to upgrade your grilling experience with the Grill Glove.

The grill glove really is more than just heat resistant gloves. Don’t get me wrong, I still think the grill glove is the greatest barbecue accessory of all time but it really does a whole lot more. Here in Florida it is already hot and we are still weeks away from Memorial Day. When I go out to clean my grill I’m soaked with sweat in about 5 minutes and run back inside. If I wait until dusk, then the mosquitoes attack. So I’ve taken to cooking in the kitchen again.

I’m not complaining because the kitchen is a pretty good place for cooking, and a pretty good place to use the Grill Glove heat resistant gloves. Why? Because you can get burned just as easily inside as outside. Especially when you cook the way I do. Before I dig in let me remind you that the Grill Glove is a heat resistant glove that wards off temperatures up to 500 degrees. The benefit of this is that you won’t get burned while handling food over the grill. The better news is that you can reach onto the grill to place, flip, baste and remove food without the use of tongs or a fork because you have a five fingered protective glove. It really makes grilling much easier.

Another benefit of the grill glove is that it is waterproof so it is perfect for a lobster or crab boil. Reaching into boiling water to quickly remove food is no longer a problem. So you can see there are quite a bit of uses for these heat resistant gloves and food preparation is one of them. Today I tried one of my long lost shrimp recipes and I wore my grill glove while prepping the shrimp. I have to tell you that it was awesome.

One of the worst things about preparing shrimp is the washing, shelling and devaining of the darn things. I don’t like the feeling on my hands and I tend to end up with a few cuts and scrapes by the time it is all said and done. But now that I have my grill gloves I put them on much like an oyster shucker would. Because the grill glove is thin, I was able to have great control over the shrimp and my knife. I didn’t even mind all the slime as I rinsed a fist full of perfectly butterflied shrimp under the faucet. I was even able to still the shrimp with my finger while they simmered in the pan. Besides a knife, the Grill Glove was my only tool and that is what makes cooking with this thing so much fun.

Now here is my Grill Glove Shrimp Recipe

First take about 1 lb of shrimp and clean it up real good. Next, grab about a cup of fresh shrimp with your grill glove and throw it on a cutting board. If you want, cut up a few small potatoes in pieces to soak up the buttery flavor the shrimp and let them cook in the microwave on high heat for about 2 minutes. Just about a handful will do and then keep them next to the spinach.

Pour about 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil into a pan with 1 tablespoon of garlic. Over medium high heat bring them to a nice sizzle and dump in the potatoes and spinach. After about 30 seconds brush them to the side of the pan and dump the shrimp in. After 30 seconds, stick your grill glove covered finger in and still the whole mess together. Let the mixture simmer for about a minute and then pour into a bowl.

Now, add 1/4 cup of white wine and 1/8th of a cup of lemon juice and bring back to a simmer. Add butter to taste and after the wine burns away a bit, dump the shrimp, potatoes and spinach back in and mix. Don’t spend too much time mixing because everything should just be lightly cooked so it maintains its fresh crisp taste. If the shrimp are orange, they are done. They don’t take long, believe me.

So using the Grill Glove you can go from prep to clean up without using tools. Besides a knife it is really the only thing you need to burn yourself up some dinner whether you are inside in the kitchen our outside at the grill.

As the summer barbecue season quickly approaches we are going to hear more and more about the Grill Glove. The grill glove has certainly become popular on television and has been put to the test on all those consumer segments on our local news station and they all agree it works. But do people really use it?

The answer is yes, and around my house the answer is an astounding yes. We love the grill glove and because of it we tolerate the darker side of cooking a little better. As a result, we are cooking better meals, and more of them. The darker side of cooking is the the gross stuff. Taking the guts of of a chicken, getting the goo off a roast or simply getting a build up of yuck after handling your food during preparation. Most people just deal with it and never consider the grill glove to be a solution.

First, the grill glove is completely safe for handling food whether it is raw or cooked. It is made from food grade silicone so there is no danger of food contamination. It is also waterproof which will keep the food stuffs from getting onto your hands. The glove design makes it perfect for handling food before it goes on the grill because it is thin enough so you can feel what you are doing yet strong enough to get a nice form grip. It’s great for putting a rub on pork or pulling the skin off of chicken. You can dip your grill glove under the faucet and rinse whatever residue remains so you can go on to cutting your vegetables without missing a put.

The whole point here is convenience. You can put on your grill glove when you start preparing your meal and take them off after you pull the food off your grill or out of your oven by hand. You won’t need basting brushes, tongs, or spatulas. You also won’t need to scrub your hands when preparing a new ingredient because the grill glove rinses so well. So we all no that the grill glove is a heat resistant glove which protects against temperatures of up to 500F. We all know you can quickly reach into a pot of boiling water with your grill glove to grab an egg without getting scalded. But now we know can simply put on our grill gloves while preparing a male and never take them off until we are done. Now that is convenient.

If you enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes, then you should definitely arm yourself with the necessary grilling accessories, including the grill glove. When you have the right stuff, cooking becomes much more fun. With the new grill glove can be used to flip skewers, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked potatoes, kabobs, steaks, corn on the cob, and even a rack full of ribs.

With Memorial Day on the horizon, let’s keep in mind that sometimes you just want to enjoy your weekends having a barbecue lunch or dinner outside. This is the time you can actually bond with your family, but more importantly it’s the time to get out all your guy stuff for the grill. The most popular is a set of tongs they are really a thing of the past. The risk of getting burnt and the clumsiness of even the most seasoned grill master makes looking for an alternative very appealing. The grill glove is something that can actually replace several grilling accessories

The grill glove can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees. It is ideal for handling all hot and roasted food items either grilled, baked and even boiled. The gloves incorporate flame deflection technology which doubles the area of contact and protects your hands from heat for a longer duration of time. Grill Gloves are waterproof, so you can even pull out an egg from the boiling water without being scalded.

The five finger design of the grill glove provides easy gripping. It will give you a stronghold that tongs are incapable of providing especially if your food is covered in sauce. It is rust free. Those who have used it are most thankful as it prevents burns which are common once you grill and cook food quite often.

This glove can be only be ordered online. The retail price of a single glove is approximately $14.99. However right now there is a buy one get one free offer, and there is no indication this offer will end any time soon. So double benefit of 2 grill gloves for the same price, and some surplus for handling and shipping.

So it’s about time to add the the Grill Glove to your outdoor arsenal and make both grilling and clean up a lot easier. If you do it in time for Memorial Day, you won’t be sorry. If you look online for reviews, you won’t find anyone who regrets buying the grill glove.

Here at Grill Glove we like a good barbecue sauce for pulled pork. Well actually, we like anything about pulled pork. But there is a reason we want to talk about barbecue sauce and give you some ideas on how to make some interesting ones. The reason? With the grill glove you can obviously handle your food directly because of the 100% food grade silicone construction, but you can also get good and messy without worrying about clean up.

At grill glove we smear, soak and baste our sauces with our grill gloves on. Yes, it can be a messy proposition, but you can rinse the grill gloves in a flash or when you are done with your barbecue you and toss them in the dishwasher. You don’t have to worry about cleaning basting brushes or scraping burnt sauce off your tongs. Just use the grill glove. So with this in mind, I give you some Barbecue Sauce for pulled pork.

Vinegar Based Barbecue Sauce for Pulled Pork :

2 cups of cider vinegar
2 tablespoons, crushed red pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar

heat mixture to warm (do not boil); mix together with pork.

Hybrid Carolina Style Barbecue Sauce for Pulled Pork

Adapted from a recipe in Chris Schlesinger and John Willoughby’s “The Thrill of the Grill” (Morrow, 1990), this is a classic pepper spiked vinegar sauce.

1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon hot red pepper flakes
Salt and ground pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients, including salt and pepper, to taste, in medium bowl.

Western South Carolina Style Barbecue Sauce for Pulled Pork

Served at Mama Rosa’s, in North Philadelphia, this recipe is adapted from Jim Tarantino’s outstanding book “Marinades” (Crossing Press, 1992).

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 medium onion, minced
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup ketchup

Heat oil in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; saute until softened, 4-5 minutes. Stir in all the remaining ingredients except ketchup; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, then add ketchup. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 15 minutes.

So theses are just a few examples of barbecue sauce for pulled pork you can try it with your Grill Glove. We say “with your grill glove” because it really is so much easier just to put them, mess them up and cook with all the slop all over your gloves. It’s safe, fun and efficient and that is why you will love the Grill Glove

Memorial Day is quickly creeping up on us and it’s time to get ready for those fabulous barbecues which unofficially kick off the summer. For many Memorial Day Weekend is the time when gas prices rise about 20 cents per gallon and we don’t have to go to work, but I try to at remember a little what the holiday really means.

Memorial Day started as a scattering of Civil War observances whereby people would decorate the graves of fallen Civil War soldiers. Decoration Day, as it was known, was rather grass roots and different cemeteries and outposts were free to observe as they choose but it was a very big deal in the late 1860′s because every town and city in the country was touched by the war.

It wasn’t until World War I when fallen soldiers of all American Wars were recognized. Memorial Day became an official holiday in 1971 and has become one of the most celebrated holiday’s in the country. Keep in mind that Veterans day is meant to honor all military veterans, both living and dead. Memorial Day is to remember those who were lost in service to their country.

The most popular way to celebrate Memorial Day is no doubt, the family barbecue. Barbecue and Memorial Day have no official relationship other than people love to get out their grills and fire them up on the first long weekend of the spring. For whatever reason, it seems to be the time when grill is dusted off and prepared for the long season ahead which seems to end on Labor Day. The time between is when more grilling accessories are sold and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Having the hottest grilling accessory to hit the market in the last two years, Grill Glove is ready to meet the demand of a nation that is hungry and, lazy. Yep, I said it. Nobody likes to clean up after a cookout and we certainly aren’t judging anyone. We just like to point out that we have a solution for the lazy griller. For that matter, we happen to have the solution for the efficient griller as well. In fact, we have the solution for anyone who finds themselves manning the grill this summer.

The Grill Glove is a truly unique grilling tool because you can do just about any task with it. It’s made of 100% food grade silicone which means you can handle your food with it without the fear of passing contaminants or carcinogens to your food. It will resist temperatures of up to 500 degrees which will protect you from burns while you are handling your food on the grill. You see, Grill Glove means that you won’t need other utensils. You can grab, poke, prod, baste, flip, turn and place food to your heart’s content because these grill gloves allow you to be in control of your grill at all times. There is no longer a need to put on gloves, grab tongs, drop your food and brush off the dirt before you put it on the plate.

So as Memorial Day Weekends kicks off another grilling season make sure you have everything you need to effectively manage your grilling and your clean up. Or you can just a get the grill glove and forget about the rest.

So let all the other Grill Glove sites be jealous and let their lack of inventory be proof positive that the Grill Glove is the must have cooking product of 2011. Perhaps since the Grill Glove won the Retailer’s Choice Award at the 2010 National Hardware Show, anyone selling the Grill Glove should have gotten on the ball and stocked up because demand will stay strong through Labor Day.

The Grill Glove is made from 100% food grade silicone and keeps the user from being burned while they are handling food while it is cooking on the grill. Handling food directly using the Grill Glove is not a problem because it can resist temperatures up to 500 degrees. Being easily washable and tough enough for daily use makes the grill glove an accessory that should be beside every barbecue or grilling pit. Watch the Grill Glove commercial and see it action

Everyone knows that you cannot just toss a slab of meat on a grill and it will cook itself perfectly every time. There is a lot of set up involved and the right barbecue accessories must be on hand. It is these utensils which can make grilling easier or more fun, or create massive headaches for the grill master. This is what makes the Grill Glove such a great accessory. It not only works well, it will keep the frustration level of the chef from reaching a boiling point. The Grill Glove can completely replace many of the grilling accessories once thought to be mandatory for great grilling experience.

Traditionally, cooking with grilling utensils could be frustrating for a variety of reasons. Among them, burns, damaged food and dropping on the floor. Not to mention some accessories are made better than others. Quality counts. And, it’s hard to barbecue a chicken with regular forks or basting brushes. You will burn yourself and most likely have difficulties getting your bird on and off the grill.

Most people will try and make the task easier by having the commonly accepted arsenal of grilling accessories on hand. The most common are tongs, a spatula, a fork and basting brush. True, learning to use these things properly will make life easier, but what if there was a way to skip the need for most of these all together? Wouldn’t that be a whole lot better?

Well, amazingly enough, the Grill Glove can help you grill better and more efficiently than the basics I mentioned above. Being made 100% food grade silicone means that coming in contact directly with food will not contaminate it in any way. It can resist temperatures of up to 500 degrees so you will not get burned while working over the cooking surface. And it’s waterproof which allows to reach safely into a pot of boiling water to remove food without dropping it or fearing injury.

The Grill Glove may be a better option than the mandatory set of utensils mentioned above. Let’s see how it stacks up.

Grill Glove v. Tongs – A set of sturdy grilling tongs are probably the most widely used accessory of them all. They are great for adding, removing, flipping and rearranging grill items. It takes a little practice to get good with the tongs and finding a set that opens and closes properly is key. But the Grill Glove does all the same things tongs can do, and more. Tongs will not keep you from getting burned and getting five fingers around your food provides better control of just about anything. Try flipping a rack of ribs with tongs. Winner: Grill Glove

Grill Glove v. Spatula – The spatula is best for flipping, adding and removing certain grill items. Anything requiring a more gentle touch should be tried first with the spatula. A fish fillet or rare burger can flake or crumble and my be ruined with tongs. Ideally, the spatula can be slid under the food and then lifted from the cooking surface. Flipping items with less structural integrity is better done with a spatula. But the Grill Glove may also eliminate the need for a spatula in most cases. Besides protecting from burns you can easily flip larger items and things like soft vegetables or flaky fish can be handled by sliding your gloved fingers between the grates then under the food before lifting. It’s a whole different way to flip. Winner: Grill Glove

Grill Glove v. Fork – The fork is best used in conjunction with something else. Usually placed in the less dominate hand it can serve as support while using tongs, spatula’s or something else. Risking adding uncooked food or removing the finished product can be risky if just forking it. It’s not bad for poking an item to see if it cooked to taste but so can other things. As far as support goes, using the second grill glove is a better bet. Gloving up both hands gives you the ultimate control over your food and you can manipulate it as you like without getting burned. Again, having five, and in some cases ten, fingers on an items is a lot better than jabbing a fork into it. Winner: Grill Glove.

Grill Glove v. Basting Brush - The Basting Brush is my personal favorite of all grilling utensils because it’s usually responsible for painting on the good stuff. However, keeping them clean and damage free is a task and the long handled ones are not precise. Believe it or not I use my grill glove to smear on my sauces. Remember, it is 100% food grade silicone so touching food is no problem. It is waterproof so my hands stay clean and if need be be, it will rinse off in seconds. It is excellent for spot basting when you need to lift and dab. Winner: Grill Glove

The bottom line here is the Grill Glove can do more than serve as an oven mitt while holding utensils. You can eliminate the need for toting clumsy utensils around that you really don’t need. Grilling becomes much more efficient when you have total control over your cooking surface and the food you are preparing. Using the Grill Glove as you main utensil is not only safer, but will make grilling a lot more fun. Who likes to clean the utensils after the meal anyway?

It’s unbelievable that it hadn’t been invented yet. The Grill Glove is simply genius. This grilling glove keeps not only keeps the wearer from getting burned, it allow them to control the food on the grill by eliminating the need for other utensils. Not only is this a convenience, the Grill Glove lets you better flip, place, rescue and serve your grilled delights.

As the As Seen On TV infomercial says, regular oven mitts get burned and crusty but the grill glove resists temperatures up to 500 degrees. If you watch the infomercial, you can literally see the difference between the two mitts working inside the flames. You decide which is better. Better yet, which one will look nicer and last longer. It is not sanitary to have years of charred residue on you oven mitts but machine washing is not an option.

Try dipping your traditional oven mitt into a pot of boiling water to grab an egg. They’re not water proof! So forget it. But the grill glove will allow you to effectively remove those eggs, lobsters and crabs without having to worry about dropping them. Speaking of dropping, you’ll never have to play hot potato again. The Grill Glove is a 5 fingered glove that can be used on both the right or left hand. You’ll have a great grip while you flip.

And remember, this grill glove is dishwasher safe or can be hosed off in seconds. How many others can you say that about? Most of them have to be thrown in the garbage because there is not an option to wash them. The Grill Glove will last a long time and it will be like new after every washing!

Case and point, my Grill Glove. I reluctantly accepted an offer to go to a Super Bowl party with a bunch of Packers fans. I prefer to stay home for the big game because I don’t like to miss any of the action. But, I figured these are Packers fans and I’ve been watching their pre game exploits for years. They are especially known for their tailgating so I expected a lot of great food.

Little did I know that these fans, although extremely dedicated and loyal, these fans were amateurs when it came to working the grill. I was asked to bring some food but what I should have brought was my grill glove. There were plenty of chops, fillets and brats to go around but not enough space on the grill to cook them and nothing proper to control. My experience with my grill glove has allowed me to get rid of just about all my utensils.

I wasn’t particularly bothered by this until I was asked to man the grill. I didn’t really want to but I couldn’t seem to worm my way out of it. I’ll tell you this. Once you have used the Grill Glove to control your cooking space, it is hard to work with anything less. This Super Bowl party was definitely taking a turn for the worse.

The Grill Glove allows you actually reach onto barbeque without getting burned. If that isn’t enough, the unique design lets you handle the food with precision during cooking, placing, turning and removing. It just makes life a lot easier. You tend to save time and the cooking process becomes more efficient.

Had I thought to bring my Grill Glove I would have spent a lot more time watching the game, perhaps more importantly, the commercials. But as I began to tell others about what this barbeque sorely lacked, they became interested in how such a simple idea had slipped through the cracks for so many years. Imagine just being able to use one single utensil to do everything. It really changes the whole deal on tailgating.

Just that fact that you can clean it with ease makes it better than any traditional glove or oven mitt. When you think about all of the old burnt on food particles staining every pot holder in America it is pretty gross. So it is strange that nobody thought about developing such a product in the past but since it’s here now I’m hoping that more people will find out about it. It would have been nice to have had one during today’s big game. I missed a lot of big plays in the first quarter trying to dole out the brats with the tongs.
